
On June 1, 2026, Andreu Arriola took part in the public roundtable “Architecture and Transformation in Nou Barris”, organized by the Nou Barris District as part of the Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026 programme.
The event brought together architects, urban planners, and public representatives involved in some of the district’s most significant urban transformation projects. The discussion explored the role of architecture and public space in shaping more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable neighbourhoods.
Representing Arriola & Fiol, Andreu Arriola participated in the session dedicated to urban parks and public spaces, sharing insights from the firm’s experience in the design and transformation of civic landscapes and community-oriented environments.
The roundtable provided an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing evolution of Nou Barris and on the contribution of architecture to improving the quality of urban life.
